 Jembrana District is a district located on the western tip of the island of Bali, Indonesia. The capital is in the State. Jembrana Regency is bordered by Tabanan regency in the east, Buleleng regency in the north, Bali Strait in the west and Indian Ocean in the south.

History

Thus, since August 15, 1895 ended the name of one capital city: Singaraja as the capital of the Residency of Bali and Lombok which oversees the Areas Afdeling Buleleng and Afdeling Jembrana. 

Since then also began the names of the Capital: Singaraja for Residency of Bali and Lombok and Regional parts in Afdeling Buleleng, as well as the State for the Region of Afdeling Jembrana. The emergence of the names of Jembrana and the State until now, has its own meaning from a historical perspective. 

Apparently the names inherited it has been inscribed on the sheet of history in Jembrana Region since used as the name of the Palace (Puri) namely Puri Gede / Agung Jembrana and Puri Agung State Country. Because Kraton or Puri is the center of the bureaucracy of the traditional royal government, it can be said that Jembrana and the State are the Kraton (Castle) built at the beginning of the XVIII century and the beginning of the XIX century is a type of royal cities with Hinduistic style.
